� � r . . <br /> . � ' `1 , <br /> _ . <br /> M��C�aFl�.�D <br /> ORDINANC� N0. 86-35 <br /> ORDINANCE providing for the levy and col- <br /> lection of a direct annual tax sufficient <br /> to pay the annual rent payable under a <br /> Lease entered into among the Decatur Public <br /> Building Commission, Macon County, <br /> Illinois, The County of Macon, Illinois and <br /> the City of Decatur, Macon County, <br /> Illinois. <br /> * * * <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, a <br /> home rule unit organized and incorporated under the laws of the <br /> State of Illinois (the "City") and the Decatur Public Building <br /> Commission, Macon County, Illinois (the "Commission") , a duly <br /> organized municipal corporation and body politic of the State of <br /> Illinois, propose to enter into a Lease providinq for payment by <br /> the City of annual rentals for the construction of the Macon <br /> County Law Enforcement Facilities (the "Public Building" ) and <br /> maintaining certain space for the City' s Police Department for <br /> the occupancy by the City of a portion of the Public Building, to <br /> the Commission, in accordance with the terms and provisions of <br /> "AN ACT to authorize the creation of Public Building Commissions <br /> and to define their rights, powers and duties, " approved July 5, <br /> 1955, as amer.ded; and <br /> WHEREAS, in and by Section 18 of the Public Building <br /> Commission Act, if a municipal corporation having taxing powers <br /> enters into a lease with a Public Building Commission, the <br /> governing body of such municipal corporation is required to pro- <br /> vide by Ordinance for the levy and collection of a direct annual <br /> tax sufficient to pay the annual rent payable under such lease as <br /> and when it becomes due and payable: <br />
