. i . <br /> L E A S E <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made as of the lst day of May, 1986, <br /> between the DECATUR PQBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION, Macon County, <br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation ( the "Commission") , as Lessor , <br /> and THE COIINTY OF MP,CON, ILLINOIS, a municipal corporation (the <br /> "County") , and the CITY OF DECATUR, Macon County, Illinois, a <br /> municipality and a home rule unit under the provisions of the <br /> Illinois Constitution of 1970 (the "City" ) as Lessees (the <br /> "Lessees" ) , <br /> W I T N E S S E T H: <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has been duly organized under <br /> the provisions of the "Public Building Commission Act" of the <br /> State of Illinois, approved July 5, 1955, as amended (the "Act" ) , <br /> for the purpose of exercising the powers and authority prescribed <br /> by the provisions of the Act, and for the purpose of the <br /> construction, acquisition, or enlargement of public improvements, <br /> buildings and facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Commission <br /> did, by proper resolution, select, locate and designate proper•ty <br /> located in the City and hereinafter described, in order to <br /> acquire the site on which to construct a building to be known as <br /> � the Macon County Law Enforcement Facilities (as further described <br /> in the preliminary plans and studies mentioned in the succeeding <br /> paragraph, the "Project") , which site (the "Site" ) is described <br /> MUN333/DRD/683482-a/6/053086 <br />_ � � <br />
