(p - �. r AN ORDINAIVCE VACATING PORTION OF AIV ALLEY ROOSEVELT MIDDLE SCHOOL WHEREAS, a Petition has been received from the Board of Education of Decatur School District #61, the owner of all property abutting thereon requesting vacation by the City Council of a portion of that alley in the City of Decatur, Illinois , said portion of said alley being more particularly described as : Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot Nine ( 9 ) in Block One ( 1) of Frank P. Roach's Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book 149, Page 91 of the Records in the Recorder' s Off ice of Macon County; thence West to the Southwest corner of Lot 10 in said block; thence South 16 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 21 in said block; thence East to the Northeast corner of Lot 22 in said block; thence North along the East line of said Lot 22 extended 16 feet to the point of beginning. Situated in Macon County, Illinois ; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owners of property abutting thereon as an alley; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said alley and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said portion � of said alley. � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above-described portion of said alley be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley, inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by said vacation, said portion of said alley being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2 . That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and under the above-described portion of said alley to the City of Decatur, Illinois , and to the public and to those utilities
