. , <br /> ._. � <br /> . . <br /> ' K, M • <br /> ��� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. g � — � � <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF <br /> JACKSON AND DOREIVDA STREETS <br /> AND PORTIONS OF ALLEYS <br /> SOUTH WATER TREATMENT PLANT SITE <br /> WHEREAS, the City has acquired all premises in Blocks 1 and <br /> 2 of Leforgee & Patterson' s Addition for the purpose of <br /> constructing thereon a new water treatment facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the State has heretofore acquired all premises in <br /> Block 3 of said addition and incorporated the same into the right <br /> of way of South Franklin Street; and, <br /> WHEREAS, all the property abutting South Jackson Street and <br /> Dorenda Street between Marion and Garrison Streets is either <br /> owned by the City for water treatment facility purposes , or by <br /> the State for highway right of way purposes ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, for the purpose aforesaid, the City owns all <br /> premises on either side of the alleys in Blocks 1 and 2 of said <br /> addition. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That it be, and it is hereby, determined by the <br /> Council that those portions of streets and alleys hereinafter <br /> designated are no longer useful to the public as streets or <br /> alleys, or useful for street or alley purposes , and the public <br /> interest will be subserved by the vacation thereof . <br /> Section 2 . That those portions of South Jackson Street and <br /> South Dorenda Street and those portions of alleys hereinafter <br /> described be, and the same are hereby vacated, the same being <br /> described as : <br /> South Jackson Street between Marion and Garrison <br /> Streets and situated between Blocks 1 and 2 of <br />
