- /�( . itato ot Illinols I Horot,;� I�t � C J Macon County SS �<<��Y 1��.I$�4� That This Instr'��ent,�W�as Flled Fc, �� A� • �� Record At 9�i�t�►+ ��1�� Qn And �r�ILKU�Il.Ni MAR 10 1986 fiecarGed i� Goott�888247 ORDINANCE NO. 86-18 , Y�a�0 � • �b'�"' 'R'�'corder ot DeeC^ ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF � �� JACKSON AND DORENDA STREETS AND PORTIONS OF ALLEYS SOUTH WATER TREATMENT PLANT SITE WHEREAS, the City has acquired all premises in Blocks 1 and 2 of Leforgee & Patterson' s Ad3ition for the gurpose of constructing thereon a new water t=eatment faciiity; and, WHEREAS, the State has heretofore acquired all premises in Block 3 of said addition and incorporated the same into the right of way of South Franklin Street; and, WHEREAS, all the property abutting South Jackson Street and Dorenda Street between Marion and Garrison Streets is either owned by the City for water treatment facility purposes , or by the State for highway right of way purposes ; and, WHEREAS, for the purpose aforesaid, the City owr.s all premises on eit.her side of the alleys in Blocks 1 and 2 of said addition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That it be, and it is hereby, determined by the Council that those portions of streets and alleys hereinafter designated are no longer useful to the public as streets or alleys , or useful for street or alley purposes , and the public interest will be subserved by the vacation thereof . Section 2. That those portions of South Jackson Street and South Dorenda Street and those portions of alleys hereinafter described be, and the same are hereby vacated, the same being , described as : I South Jackson Street between Marion and Garrison Streets and situated between Blocks 1 and 2 of
