D � � U i�eCorded in Booi��7 PaOe�5 , V��!'o �� AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY �A'�z�-"""R der ol De9_� EAST WILLIAM STREET WHEREAS , there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Marie F. Rawlings and Ralph F. Rawlings reguesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : A11 that part North of S .B. I . Route #10 (Now State Route #105 ) of Lots Twenty-two { 22 ) and Twenty-three ( 23 ) in the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9 , Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the 3rd P.M. , as per Plat of the Estate of Fielding House, deceased, recorded in Circuit Court Record K Page 397 of the Records in the Circuit Clerk' s Off ice of Macon County, Illinois , EXCEPT beginning 825 feEt South of the Northeast corner of said Lot 23 , thence West 170 feet , thence South to the North line of S .B. I . Route #10 ( Now State Route #105 ) , thence Southeasterly along said North right of way lir.e to the East line of said Lot 23 , thence North to the place of beginning; and, WHEREAS , it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 510 of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the c�rporate limits of any city, village or incorporated �own or other municipality; and, WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That said petition and the request thereoi be, and the same are hereby approved. Sectior. 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent t:�ereto not heretotore anaexed, if any, be, and the same are �ereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal r.orpo-ration. Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attacned hereto and made a part hereof .
