S <br /> � <br /> �►1CR�11� <br /> ORDINANCE N0. �S� <br /> AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY <br /> 2800 BLOCK NORTH MONROE <br /> WHEREAS , on the lst day of August , 1985 , upon due <br />' notice , the Decatur City Plan Commission heid a public <br /> hearing upon the petition of Phillip W. Cochran to rezone <br /> premises described as : <br /> Beginning at a point 96 rods South and 8 1/3 rods <br /> West of the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 <br /> of Section Three ( 3) , Township Sixteen (16 ) North, <br /> Range Two (2 ) East of the 3rd P .M. ; thence West <br /> 312 feet 7 inches ; thence North 792 feet ; thence <br /> East 308 feet 8 inches ; thence South 792 feet to <br /> the point of beginning , and all that part of the <br /> following described property which lies West of <br /> the West line of North Monroe Street : Part of the <br /> Northwest 1/4 of Section Three ( 3 ) , Township <br /> Sixteen (16 ) North, Range Two ( 2 ) East described <br /> as follows : Beginning at the Northeast corner of <br /> the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 3 ; thence South <br /> 96 rods ; thence West 8 1/3 rods ; thence North 96 <br /> rods ; thence East 8 1/3 rods to the place of <br /> beginning , <br /> from R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT and R-6 MULTIPLE <br /> DWELLING DISTRICT to B-2 COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; and , <br /> WHEREAS , the Decatur City Plan Commission recommended <br /> that the prayer of said petition be approved . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : <br /> Section 1 . That the recommendation of the Decatur City <br /> Plan Commission be , and the same is hereby, received , placed <br /> on file and approved . <br /> Section 2 . That said described premises be , and they <br /> are hereby, rezoned from R-1 SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT and R- <br /> 6 MULTIPLE DWELLING DISTRICT to B-2 COMMERICAL DISTRICT . <br />
