J�- R�oorded,n eool�2li,83 �634 . .'.�-- . , � ; F,N ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY F� 10.00 Ch •�� '---- ��f� WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk preseated to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of G. Phillip Baine and Delores A. Baine requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: Beginning at the Southeast Corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section Four (4 ) Township Sixteen ( 16 ) North, Range Two ( 2) East of the 3rd P.M. ; thence West to the East right-of-way line of a Public Highway; thence Northerly along the East right-of-way line of said Public Highway to the South Bank of Spring Creek; thence Easterly along said South line of the Peoria Branch of the Illinois Central Railroad; thence Southerly along said right-of-way line to the place of beginning; and, WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 51� of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation nas been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of publ.ic highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
