LEGAL DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM <br /> No. 85-24 <br /> June 20 , 1985 <br /> TO: City Manager <br /> FROM: Corporation Counsel <br /> RE : Millikin University <br /> New Telephone System <br /> City Streets and Alleys <br /> The university has purchased and is installing its own <br /> telephone system. In order to extend it among the buildings to <br /> be connected thereto it will be necessary to cross several <br /> streets : <br /> a) West Main in front of the Liberal Arts Building and <br /> again on the east side of its intersection with Park Place; <br /> b) Park Place a few feet north of the sidewalk on West <br /> Main; <br /> c) Fairview south of West Main at the alley extending <br /> between Main and Wood and again north of Main in front of the <br /> Scovill Building; <br /> d) North Oakland at the dormitory on the east side of <br /> the street . <br /> The university has already received a permit from the State <br /> to cross Fairview. <br /> It also needs to extend cable in �he alley which extends <br /> east from Fairview between Main and Wood, in the alley extending <br /> east from Oakland between William and North; and between the <br /> sidewalk and curb along Park Place west of Westminster Church. <br />
