� <br /> NIILLIKII�T U ?�TIVERSITY <br /> DECATUR , 1LLINOIS <br /> 6 2 5 2 2 <br /> June 19, 1985 <br /> The Council <br /> City of Decatur <br /> Decatur, IL <br /> Dear Council Members: <br /> Millikin University has contracted to purchase its own <br /> telephone system for campus properties and the fraternities and <br /> sororities. This system is to be installed by Illinois Consolidated <br /> Business System and their sub-contractors. <br /> We hereby request permission for the wiring of this system <br /> to be installed under city streets and in the right of way to the <br /> streets bordering around the University campus. The exact con- <br /> figuration and wirin� plan has been f iled at the City Engineers <br /> Office by Illinos Consolidated Business System and is referenced <br /> as project No. 0475. The cable to be placed under city streets <br /> will be installed by boring under the streets. The cable in the <br /> right of way will be installed by direct burial with a minimum of <br /> of two feet in depth. <br /> We would respectfully request thatan ordinance be drafted to <br /> authorize the installation of this wiring system. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Kenneth Brown <br /> Vice President for <br /> Eusiness Affairs <br /> KB/sc <br />
