/ �I � � � . w , � , � �� � > + ��`�'1�.� ORDINANCE N0. 84-21 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Iona May Jones and other requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : A tract of land in the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3 Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd Principal Meridian, more particularly described as follows, to-wit: From the Southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter of Section ' 3 , measuring East 9 .9 feet, thence measuring North 2° 30 ' East along the center line of Route 48, 108.5 feet to the North line of the Illinois Central Railroad Right-of-Way, thence measure South 28° 37' East and along said North right-of-way of the Illinois Central Railroad, 119.6 feet to the place of beginning, thence North 2° 30 ' Eas�t 170.8 feet, thence South 50` East 299.3 feet, to the South line i of said Northwest Quarter of said Section 3 , thence I North 87° 30 ' West 231 feet to an iron pin, thence I LVorth 28° 37 ' West 13 . 7 feet to the place of beginning, containing 0.47 acres, more or less; and, WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 51% of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is con- tiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE•COUNTIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2 .
