' AN ORDINANCE ANNEXI2dG TERRITORY TO THE ��----�i �� CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS h� 9�ah �a� WHEREAS , there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk nresented to the Council herewith, the vetit:on under oath of RUSSELL BURCHAt�, and others , requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : Lots 5 , 6, 7, 8 and I2, and also Lot IS EXCEPT the North 2 feet thereof, of John W. Constant Subdivision as per Plat recorded in Book 982 Page 03 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Piacon Cotmty, Illinois; and, WHEREAS , it ap�ears said netition is signed by the owners of record of a7.1 land within such territory and by at least 51; of the electars residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not c�ithin the cor*.�orate limits of anv Cit�, Village or Incornorated Town or other aunicinalitv; and, � YJHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as rectuired. PJOtJ, THEItEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Bv THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR., ILLINOIS : Section I. That said Petition and the request thereof be, and the same are herebv, an�roved. Section 2, :hat said t2rritory hereinabove described, along with all parts o� public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the saae are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a r.nuiicipal corporation. Section 3. 'I'hat a vlat of said annexed nremises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 4.
