. • ' MICRO�{��Ep ORDINANCE N0. 83-61 � AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of IVA BAKER and WAYNE H. BAKER, requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : Lot Forty (40) of Highland Court, as per Plat recorded in Book 928 Page 67 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois . WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 51% of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village or incorporated town or other r.municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THER.EFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limit�sof the City of Decatur, Illi.nois , a municipal corporation. Section 3. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto a�zd made a part hereof. Sectio� 4. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and re- corded by the Recorcler of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois .
