That This Inshumerrt Was Fbd For <br /> � ' �,/ ' Re��xa at 10: ..a4M <br /> ;, � 4n � and � <br /> �' C MICROFlLM ���;�� �i� 1�a3 � <br /> i�,a����8 ReCp'ded in Bool��'1'7 Pa� <br /> . <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 83�35 ��`' ' �, � � <br /> Fee7•00 Ch Re�of Deeds <br /> ORDINANCE VACATIIIG A PORTION OF A STREET <br /> - SESOM DRIVE - <br /> WHEREAS , a petition has been received from Christian <br /> Homes , Inc. , the owner of all property abutting thereon, <br /> requesting vacation of a portion of that certain street <br /> in the City of Decatur, Illinois , commonly known as Sesom <br /> Drive, said portion of said street being more particularly <br /> described as : <br /> Beginning at the Southwest Corner of <br /> Lot One (1) of Broadmoor Place at <br /> a concrete monument , thence East 258 <br /> Feet , thence South 60 Feet , thence <br /> West 25E Feet to the East line of <br /> Fairview Avenue , thence North 60 <br /> Feet to the point of beginning; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS , The Decatur City Plan Commission held a public I! <br /> hearing upon said petition on March 3 , 1983 , and did there- ' <br /> after recomr.iend to the Council that the prayer of said � <br /> petition be granted and said portion of said street be <br /> vacated as requested; and, <br /> WHEREAS , said portion of said street is no longer use- <br /> ful to the public or to the City or to the owners of property <br /> abutting thereon and the public interest will be subserved <br /> by vacating said portion of said street and the public will <br /> be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for <br /> opening, improving or maintaining said portion of said street. � <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : <br /> Section l . That the above described portion of said <br /> Sesom Drive be , and the same is hereby , vacated as a public <br /> street upon the exceptions and conditions hereinafter pro- <br /> vided inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public <br /> use and the public interest will be subserved by such vaca- <br /> tion , said portion of said street being shown on the plat <br /> thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br />
