��a�oF Illi� n�, Nia�6n Cou '.�• ��Y TH�It•�1� �m61�t Wi15 �r �1�1�1K�� ;..ii�� '6 ��n At -.��-,�M �� 11��1�f �n r J /MA� 1 � 1983 A��"'O ORDINANCE Pd0 3 - � �` . �J Record�in Book�'._,.,,�_7 F,C� ��• � AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF ALLEY IN BLOCK 3 ��°' OF HIGGINS ADDITION :�8.00 Ch Recortlerof Deeds WHEP.EAS, a petition has been received from The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, the owner of all property abutting thereon, requesting the vacation by the City Council of that portion of a certain alley in the City of Decatur, Illinois, described as: Comaencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 3 of Higgins Addition as per Plat recorded in Book 50 Page 386 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois , thence Ldest along the South lines of Lots 1 through 11 inclusive , to the South- west corner of said Lot 11; thence South 16 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 20 ; thence East along the North lines of Lots 20 through 30 inclusive to the Northeast corner of said Lot 30, all in said Block 3 thence tlorth to the place of beginning; and, TnhIEREAS, said petition was referred to, and a public hearing thereon was held by, the City Plan Com�ission, which Commission did recommend that the praver of said petition be granted; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon as an alley; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said alley and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. P10T�I, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above-de�scribed portion of said alley be and the same is hereby vacated as a public alley or way subject to the exceptions , reservations and conditions hereinafter set out inasmuch as t�e same is no longer required for public use as an alley and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of �aintaining the sane, said portion of said alley being shown on the Plat thereof hereto attached and heraby nade a part hereof.
