GR0� on JAN —519�3 Ana � , ORDINANCE N0. 8�Z� '�l i Recorded in Boo �k_� ,�� � AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE �� � CITY OF DECATUR, IZLINnIS � , - � p� 10•00 CY��cordAr ot Deeds WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Caterpillar Tractor Company reques�ing that there be annexed to the City territory described as : The South Half (S�) of the Northeast Quazter (NE�) and the Northwest Quarter (P1t�;�) of the Southeast Ouarter (SE 4) and the South Half {S�) of the South- � east Quarter (SE4) , all in Section Thirty-One (31) , '� Township Seventeen (17) North, Range Three (3) East of the 3rd P .M. , containing 202 .9 acres more or less ;` subject to dedications for highway purposes and ease- ments of record, together with any other property abutting or adjacent thereto awned by the undersigned, and all improvements and fixtures thereon and rights appurtenant thereto, situated in the County of Macon and State of Illinois ; and, WFiEREAS , it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and that no electors reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of anp City, 'Village or incorporated town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATtTR, ILLINOIS : . Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public. highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation. �i Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 4. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Ma.con County, Illinois .
