, ,
 f.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM
No. 82-53
August 6, 1982
MEMORANDUM T0: Leslie T. Allen , City Manager
FROM: Charles Cherches , Director
Department of Community Development
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as
4360 Lakewood Avenue .
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject premises
has been filed with the City Clerk' s office. The lot in
question is presently developed with a single family dwelling;
the reason given for requesting annexation was t.a enable the
property to be eligible for City fire protection services.
Existing sanitary sewer and City watermain f acilities are
_ available to adequately sewer the existing residences. Further-
more, existing fire hydrants in the general area are adequate
to provide service to the same.
Staff recognizes the proposed annexation as providing a logical
extension of the corporate limits in the residential areas.
As noted on the subject plat , there are only some twelve
residential lots remaining outside the City in the general area
of Lakewood Avenue and Lake Shore Drive .
In view of the data presented, saff recommends approval of
the petition .
fr
