-7- evidenced by notation of said City Treasurer upon the back of each bond so registered. After such registration of any of said bonds , payment of the principal thereof shall be made only to the registered owner. Any bond so registered, upon the request in writing of such owner, personally or by attorney in fact, may be transferred either to a designated transferee or to bearer and the principal of any bond so transferred and registered to bearer shall thereupon be and become payable to bearer in like manner as if such bond had not been registered. Such registration of any bonds as to principal shall not, however, restrain the negotiability of the coupons thereto attached but such coupons shall continue transferable by delivery merely. Section 3. That the bonds , coupons and provisions for registration shall be in substantially the following form: (Form of nond) - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA STATE OF ILLINOIS COUNTY OF MACON CITY OF DECATUR GENERAL OBLIGATION SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM BOND, SERIES OF 1982 Number $5,000 KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the City of Decatur, in the County of Macon and State of Illinois, hereby acknowledges itself to owe and for value received, promises to pay to bearer or, if this bond be registered as to principal, then to the registered owner hereof, the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000)
