J <br /> � • �'� ' ��o�g0�1LN1EQ <br /> � <br /> ORDINANCE NO.� 7 � � <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath <br /> of Gary L. Hughes , Sr. and Harold D. Norfleet requesting that there <br /> be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> Part of the South West 1/4 of the South East 1/4 of <br /> Section Twenty-six (26) , Township Seventeen (17) North, <br /> Range Two (2) East of the 3rd P .M. , described as follows : <br /> Beginning at the South West corner of the South West <br /> 1/4 ot the South East 1/4 of said Sectican 26 , thence <br /> North 430 feet; thence East 660 feet; thence North 458 .5 <br /> feet; trence East 652 .2 feet; thence South 892 .2 feet; <br /> thence West 1, 312 .2 feet -�to the place of beginning. <br /> Situated in Macon County, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and that no electors reside <br /> therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not <br /> within the corporate limits of any City, Village or Incorporated Town <br /> or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has <br /> been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, . ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along with <br /> all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not <br /> heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and <br /> are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a <br /> municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> Section 4 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this <br /> ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded <br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, A.PPROVED AND RECORDED this lOth day of August, 1981 . <br /> MA OR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> CITY ERK <br />
