� _ ' � �11W►OHLMED <br /> ORDINANCE NO. �`�F � <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS- <br /> Section 1. That the City Code be, and it is hereby, amended <br /> at Sections 2 and 9 of Chapter 5 thereof, so that said Sections <br /> as so amended shall provide as follows : <br /> Section 2. The City Manager shall have the power <br /> and authority to appoint and remove at will all chiefs and <br /> directors of departments , assistant chiefs and assistant <br /> or deputy directors of departments, fire marshalls , <br /> battalion chiefs , police cadets, police personnel abo�Ye - <br /> � the rank of sergeant, administrative assistants , super- <br /> intendents of building inspections and of streets and <br /> sewers, heads of divisions , one secretary of the City <br /> Manager and one of each department director, members <br /> of the legal department, coordinators of the office on <br /> agin_q, coordinators of community programs , coordinators <br /> of mass transit, community renewal coordinator, super- <br /> visors of accounting, auditors , superintendent of vehicle <br /> maintenance, chi.ef planners , city engineers , and temporary <br /> and seasonal employees . <br /> Section 9 . It shall be unlawful for any person to <br /> falsely represent himself to be an of.ficer or <br /> employee of the City, or, without being duly authorized <br /> by the Czty, exercise or attempt to exercise any of the <br /> duties, functions or powers of a City officer or employee, <br /> or to wear in public any unYform, or any badge, patch, device <br /> or other insignia, identical with or substantially similar in <br /> appearance to those worn by the officers or employees of <br /> any Department of the City as their official uniform or <br /> insignia. Any person violating this section shall be fined <br /> not less than One Dollar ($1. 00) nor more than Two Hundred <br /> Dollars ($20Q. 00) for each offense. <br /> Section 2. That Section 40 of Chapter 67 of the City Code <br /> be, and the same is hereby, repealed. <br />
