� . - �IUCROFiIMEn ORD INAN CE NO.�� ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING LAND ACQUISITION DECATUR NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Decatur has heretofore by Resolution No.. R78-15 designated a Decatur Neighborhood Preservation District; and, WHEREAS , the following described land is within said Neighborhood Preservation District and is vacant and unimproved; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary for the rehabilitation of said Neighborhood Preservation District that said land be acquired by the City of Decatur so as to return the land to marketable � status and thus more able to bear its fair share of the tax burden. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : I Section l . That it be, and it is hereby, determined to be necessary and desirable that the City of Decatur in order to further the rehabilitation of said Decatur Neighborhood Preservation District acquire title and possession of real property which is situated in said Neighborhood Preservation District and within the County of Macon, described as : That part of Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9) of Block B of J.T.B. Stapp' s Subdivision of Block 21 of Carver's Addition as per plat recorded in Book 5 Page 44 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois , described as : Beginning at a point on the South line of said Lot Eight (8) 28 .50 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot Eight (8) ; thence Northwesterly to the Northwest corner of said Lot Nine (9) ; � thence East along the North line of said Lot Nine (9) to the Northeast corner thereof; thence South along the East lines of Lots Nine (9) and Eight (8) to the Southeast corner of said Lot Eight (8) ; thence West along the South line of said Lot Eight (8) to the point of beginning.
