On And ORDINANCE N0 . � — a 3 oc� 6 - �s8o ORDINANCE GRANTING CONDITIONAL ��g� 205�ip� 311 �D LIMITED VARIANCE OF MINIMUM ��,� I ,�(� _ PARKING SPACE REGULATIONS ww'r,r�'�r��cs�'�'• � 9.00 cg �� WHEREAS , Contractors and Engineers , Inc . , is purchasing the premises in the City of Decatur, Illinois, described as : , J f ��j� Part of the East 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of `'I�l"Q�C�j Section Three (3) , Township Sixteen (16) North, �� Range Two (2) East of the 3rd P.M. , more �articularly described as follows : Beginning at a goint on the East line of the Northwest 1/4 of � Section 3 , Township 16 North, Range 2 East, 522 feet � North of the center of said Section 3; thence North 508 feet, more or less , to a point 96 rods South of the Nortneast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 3; thence West 450 . 70 feet; thence South 509 . 4 feet; thence East 453. 9 feet to the point of beginning; and excluding the South 171 feet thereof and except state route right-of-way. Situated in Macon County, Illinois; and said corporation proposes to construct thereon certain improvements to be used as housing for elderly families of low income; and, WHEREAS, said corporation has requested that the parking and loading requirements of the City be varied by reducing the minimum number of required motor vehicle parking spaces to be constructed and maintained on said site appurtenant to said use to 62� of that number which would otherwise be required by said regulations in the R-6 Multiple Family District; and, WHEREAS� said corporation has represented and agreed that ar.y such variance may be limited and conditioned and said limitations and conditions may be made a matter of record and a restriction upon and in the title of said premises for the benefit of the health, safety and welfare of the community to, among other things enhance the quiet, peace arid repose of the neighborhood of said premises and lessen or prevent the congestion of motor vehicles upon its streets , and that the same may be enforced by the City in its own name by any appropriate action including injunction; and, WHEREAS , after notice as provided by law and ordinance, the Zoning Board of Appeals on September 11 , 1980 , held a public hearing �:pon such request and did report and recommend that the same be granted and said regulations be varied as so limited and conditioned.
