If no such monuments exist, <br /> the subdivider s,za11 plant in such manner that they wi11 not be moved <br /> by frost not less than two good and suf�icient monuments to witness <br /> the extreme corners of the tract subdivided and sha11 designatz <br /> upon t:�e plat the points where they may be found. Any existing <br /> monuments shall be preserved. <br /> 7-6-2 . Iron pipes on steel rods shall be set at all lot <br /> corners . <br /> 7-6-3 . All points of tangency and points of curvature shall <br /> be mar'�ced witn iron pins having a minimun diameter of one-half <br /> inch and a minimum lengtn of 30 inches and shall be locateu on �he <br /> property line . <br /> 7-7-1 . Each lot within the coroorate limits of the City of <br /> Decatur shall be provided with a connection to a municipal water <br /> supply system, said service connections to ter,ninate in the public , <br /> right-of-way and in an area not covered with sidewalk, <br /> driveway or other pavement . <br /> 7-7-2 . Fire hydrants and shut-off valves shail be installed in <br /> al.l subdivisions within the corporate limits of the City of Decatur <br /> in locations approved by the departments having rzsponsibility for <br /> the same . <br /> 7-7-3 . No water main sha11 be connected to the existing system <br /> until and unless �he ;nain has been sterilized in a manner approved <br /> by, and under the direction of tne Water Department. <br /> 7-8-1 . Each lot within the corporate Iimits of tne City of <br /> Decatur sha11 be provided with a connection to a sanitary sewer, said <br /> service connection to terminate in the public right of �aay ar_d in an <br /> area r.ot covered with sidewal;c, driveway or other pavement . <br /> 7-9-1 . The subdivision snall be laid out so as to provide <br /> proper drainage of the area being subdivided. Drainage improvements <br /> shall maintain any substantial natural water-course and sha11 prevent <br /> the acc�snulation of stagnant water in any low areas . A system of <br /> disposing of the storm w�ter, approved by the Department of Public <br /> Works , sha11 be provided. Such drainage syste:n shall be designated in <br /> con�o rmity with the "Report on Storm Drainage `or the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois , 1966 . " <br /> 7-9-2 . If a sto rn drainage syrstem for a proposed subdivision is <br /> designed to outlet into an exiscing storm sewer svstem, the exis'�ing <br /> syste� ��t be snown by application of genera'ly accepted qood <br /> engineering practices and principle� to be adequa�e to carry tne <br /> pr000sed additional flow. If the exis`i�g sewer is found �o be �n- <br /> acie�ua`� to do so, some provisior.s �ust be made to accomodate t�e <br /> a�di!-�er_a7- �lo�a, such as a paralle' sto� sewer, a storm water acct:mula- <br /> tion area, or such other pro��ision as is aporovzd by �r.e Di=ector or <br /> tne De�artmer_�. oi Public ��Jorks . <br />
