ORDINANCE NO.�O=S I ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE SPECIAL USE REGULATIONS RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES WHEREAS , on March 6 , March 20 , March 27 and April 3 , 1980 , upon due notice, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public hearing upon the petition of the Macon County Mental Health Board to modify and amend sections of the Zoning Ordinance relating to the location of residential care facilities in the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission did recommend that the prayer of said petition be in part granted and in part denied. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN�D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That the recommendation of the Decatur City Plan Commissio� be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file and approved. Section 2 . That �rdinance No. 3512 of the City of Decatur, the Zor.ing Ordinance, as amended, be, and the same is hereby further amended at Section XXI A(t) thereof so that as amended said section shall provide as follows : (t) Residential Care Facilities : (1) Facilities of more than 12 beds in the R-5 or R-6 zoning districts , provided that such a facility is not located within 1/2 mile of any other residential care facility as measured from the nearest points on the respective lot lines , and further provided that such facility be located or. a site containing a lot area of at least 1/2 acre plus an additional 500 square feet for each bed. (2) Facilities of not more than 12 beds in the R-5 or I R-6 zoning districts, provided that such a facility is not located within 1/2 mile of any residential care facility of more than 12 beds or within 1/4 mile of any residential care facility of not more than 12 beds , as measured from the nearest points on the respective lot lines , and further provided that such a facility
