-„ <br /> . .. . - , ���Q�i1.M <br /> ' ORDINANCE NO. a- � � <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO <br /> THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> WHEREAS , there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under <br /> oath of Rex D. Hallett and others requesting that there be <br /> annexed to the City territory described as : <br /> Lot 25 of Fairground Home Sites Subdivision <br /> as per plat recorded in Book 802 page 112 of the <br /> records in the Recorder 's Office of Macon <br /> County, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51% of the <br /> electors residing therein, and that said territory i� contiguous <br /> to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village <br /> or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has <br /> been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUI�ICIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l . That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, <br /> annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of <br /> Decatur, Tllinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> Section 4 .
