ORDINANCE N0.�5 AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY WHEREAS , on the 7th day of February, 1980 , upon due notice, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public hearing upon the petition of Karen Mendica to rezone premises described as : Commencing at a brass plate at the Northeast corner of the N.E. Quarter of said Section 29 ; thence Westerly along the North line of said N.E. Quarter on a bearing of N 89° 59 ' 0 .15" West a distance of 93. 10 feet to a point; thence Southerly on a bearing of S 0° 00 ' S8 . 5" West a distance of 25 .00 feet to a point on the South Right-of-way line of Maryland Street, said point being the place of beginning; thence Southeasterly along said South Right-of-way line on a bearing of South 59° 38 ' 07.5" East a distance of 52 .11 feet to a point, said point being the intersection of the said South Right-of-way line of Maryland Street and the West Right-of-way line of S.B. I. 121; thence Southerly along the said West Right-of-way line on a bearing of South 0° 04 ' 45. 0" West a distance of 173. 67 feet to a point; thence Westerly on a bearing of North 89° 59 ' 01 . 5" West a distance of 225 .00 feet to a point; thence Northerly on a bearing of North 0° 04 ' 45 .0" East a distance of 200 . 00 feet to a point on the South Right-of-way line of Maryland Street; thence Easterly along the said Right-of-way line on a bearing of South 89° 59 ' 01 .5" East a distance of 180 . 00 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing in all 44 ,408 square feet or 1 .0�9 acres, more or less; from R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT to B-2 COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; and, WHEREAS , the Decatur City Plan Commission recommended that the prayer of said petition be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the recommendation of the Decatur City Plan Commission be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file and approved.
