RESOLUTION NO. R2016- 1 10 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR PROPERTY, LIABILITY AND WORKERS COMPENSATION FOR THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS FOR THE POLICY PERIOD OCTOBER 1, 2016 TO OCTOBER 1,2017 WHEREAS, the City of Decatur current insurance coverage contract shall expire September 30, 2016, and, WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is in need of insurance covering property, liability, and workers compensation for the period October 1, 2016 through October 1, 2017; and WHEREAS, Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. has secured quotes on the City's behalf for insurance covering property, liability, and workers compensation for the period October 1, 2016 through October 1, 2017; and, WHEREAS, AIX Specialty Insurance Company (Hanover lnsurance Companies) has submitted a quote to supply property, general liability, automobile liability, law enforcement liability, errors and omissions, employee benefits liability, in the amount of$261,419.00; and, WHEREAS, Travelers Indemnity Company (The Travelers Companies, Inc.) has submitted a quote to supply excess property insurance in the amount of$73,764.00; and, WHEREAS, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company has submitted a quote to supply excess workers compensation insurance in the amount of$652,429.00; and, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the quote of AIX Specialty Insurance Company (Hanover Insurance Companies) to supply property, general liability, automobile liability, law enforcement liability, errors and omissions, employee benefits liability, in the amount of $261,419.00 to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved.
