AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of Archie D. McLean and Phyllis J. McLean requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : Commencing at a brass plate at the Northeast corner of the N.E. 4 of said Section 29 , Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the 3rd P.M. ; thence Westerly along the North line of said N.E. 4 on a bearing of N 89° 59 ' 0 .15" West a distance of 93. 10 feet to a point; thence Southerly on a bearing of S 0° . 0058 .5" West a distance of 25. 00 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line of Maryland Street, said point being the place of beginning; thence Southeasterly along said South right-of-way line on a bearing of S 59° 38 ' 07.5" East a distance of 52.11 feet to a point, said point being the intersection of the said South right-of-way line of Maryland Street and the West right-of-way line of S.B. I . Route 121; thence Southerly along the said West right-of-way line on a bearing of S 0° 04 ' 45.0" West a distance of 173. 67 feet to a point; thence Westerly on a bearing of N 89° 59 ' 01 . 5" West a distance of 225. 00 feet to a point; thence Northerly on a bearing of N 0° 04 ' 45. 0" East a distance of 200. 00 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line of Maryland Street; thence Easterly along the said South right-of-way line on a bearing of S 89° 59 ' 01 .5" East a distance of 180 .00 � feet to the Point of Beginning and containing in all ', 44 ,408 square feet or 1 .019 acres more or less, situated in Macon County, Illinois; and, ji WHEREAS , it appears said petition is signed by the � owners of record of all land within such territory and that no electors reside therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and, WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required.
