<br /> WHEREAS , there having be�n filed with the City Clerk, and` ��'"

<br /> said Clerk presented to the Cquncil herewith, the petition und��
<br /> oath of Lavelle L. Staley requesting that there be annexed to the
<br /> City territory described as s�t out on Exhibit A hereto attached
<br /> and hereby made a part hereofi and,
<br /> WHEREAS, it appears said ,petition is signed by the owner of
<br /> record of all land within such territory and that there are no
<br /> electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to ',
<br /> the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village, ',
<br /> or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has
<br /> been given as required.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OR19AINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: ;
<br /> Section l. That said pe�ition and the request thereof be,
<br /> and the same are hereby approved.
<br /> Section 2 . That said te ritory hereinabove described, along
<br /> with all parts of public high�ays therein or next and adjacent thereto
<br /> hot heretofore annexed,if any,i be, and the same are hereby, annexed
<br /> to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, a municipal corporat�ion.
<br /> Section 3. That a plat af said annexed premises is attached
<br /> hereto and made a part hereof.l
<br /> Section 4 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinanee to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois .
