f ... • � � • � � �- / �� � � �� A-- II ORDINANCE N .�3 � ' AN ORDINANCE ANNEX NG TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DE TUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there having bee filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Coun il herewith, the petition under oath of Julia �IcGeehon and other requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described s : The East 66 feet of the E st Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest uarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 29 , To ship 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. in Macon ounty, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, it appears said etition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such itory and by at least 51� of the electors residing therein, a d that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the c rporate limits of any City, Village or Incorporated Town or other m icipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intent'on to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORD INED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said pet' tion and the request thereof be, and the same are nereby approved. Section 2. That said ter itory hereinabove described, along with al� parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, e, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporatio . Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 4. That the Cit Clerk cause certified copies of this _ odinance to be respectively file with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Maco County , Illinois .
