(� Boo�2023 c�r,E 55� ,r �`�9 � ,� AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE I � CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS I WI3EREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath of RICHARD MEYER and others -requesting that there be annexed to the City territor� descri.bed as: Lot � of Hoewings lst Adctition_� as per plat recorded in Book �58 Page lU9 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; and, ` WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 5I. $ of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Vi�Iage or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and, � WHEREAS,notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: - S�ction I. Tl�at said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2 . That said territory here,�nabove described, along with all parts of public highways therei� or next and adjaeent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and;�the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorpora�ed into the limit� of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. �i' % Section 3. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 4 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this I ordinance to be. respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois .
