Boo�?021 r�h�E�42 <br /> � ����c��� <br /> 9 ORDINANCE No. 79 - 94 <br /> ��� <br /> _ AI�i ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO T�iE <br /> CITY OF DECP.TUR, ILLINOIS <br /> WAEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under <br /> oath of Llr�yd L. Trimby and Evelyn M. Trimby requesting that there <br /> be annexed to the City territory described as : <br /> Two acres off of the South end of the following described <br /> • tract of land, to-wit: Beginning at the South east corner <br /> of the East 6 2/3 acres of the West half of the Southwest <br /> Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 4 , Township <br /> 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P .M. , and running thence <br /> North 772 feet, thence Southwesterly 221 . 2 feet; t:�ence <br /> South 744 .2 feet, to the South line of the said Northwest <br /> Quarter of Section 4 , thence East 218 . 6 feet to the place <br /> of beginning; and, <br /> WHEREAS , it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51� of the <br /> electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous <br /> � to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village <br /> or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and, <br /> , WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for ar.nexation has <br /> been been given as required. <br /> NOW, THEREFOR.E, BE IT OP,DAINED BY THE COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That said petition and the request thereof be, <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2 . That said territory h�reinabove described, along <br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto <br /> not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed <br /> to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> Section 4 .
