� �� . , � ,� . . �- . .,� , ORDINANCE N0. �g� ,a;._. � ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 78-117 REGULATING FL;�OD HAZARDS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That Ordinance No. 78-117 adopted August 7, 1978 , be, and it is hereby , amended at Section 5 thereof by changing the period in the last sentence thereof to a comma and adding thereto as follows : "which said application shall be accompanied by certification from a registered professional engineer or architect that flood proofing m�thods are adequate to withstand the flood depths , pressures , velocities, impact and uplift forces , and other factors associated with the base flood. " Section 2. That said Ordinance No. 78-117 be, and the same is hereby further amended at Section 6 thereof by changing the end period to a comma and adding thereto as follows : "provided that in unnumbered A zones, in the absence of other data, the best existing data shall be used, with � data received from the Federal Insurance Administration taking precedence over that from other sources. " Section 3. That said Ordinance No. 78-117 be, and the same is hereby further amended at Section 14 thereof by adding the following sentence at the end thereof: "Records of first floor elevations , flood proofing I certifications , all �ariance documents required under the '� rules and regulations of the National Flood Insurance Program, permit applications and other records required by said Administration shall be kept and maintained. " Section 4 . That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause said amendatory provisions to be appropriately set out in connection with said amended ordinance and the same to be published in pamphlet form.
