<br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE ��-�
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS ���s�j��ll�i�

<br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by
<br /> said Clerk presented to the Council herewith, the petition under oath
<br /> of William Wagner and Gertrude Wagner requesting that there be annexed
<br /> to the City of Decatur territory described as :
<br /> The South 5 acres of the West Half of the Southwest
<br /> Quarter of �he Southwest Quarter of Section 27,
<br /> Township 17 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P .M. ,
<br /> situated in Macon County, Illinois ;
<br /> and,
<br /> WHEREAS , it appears said petition is signed by the owners of
<br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51� of the
<br /> electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to
<br /> the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village,
<br /> or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has
<br /> been given as required.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> DECATUR, ILLIi�IOIS :
<br /> Section l . That said petition and the request thereof be,
<br /> and the same are hereby approved .
<br /> Section 2 . That said territory hereinabove described, along
<br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto
<br /> not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed
<br /> to and are incnrporated into the limits of the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation.
<br /> Section 3 . That a plat of said anr.exed premises is attach�d
<br /> hereto and made a part hereof.
<br /> Section 4 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois .
