M���'��M� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � �I O <br /> ORDINANCL ANL�NDING ANNUAL TAX LEVY ORDINANCE <br /> FOR FISCAL YEAR 1978-1979 <br /> WHEREAS, on the 5th day of September, 1978 , Ordinance <br /> No. 78-138 entitled An Ordinance Making the Annual Tax Levy for <br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois , for Fiscal Year 1978 - 1979 , was <br /> duly presented to and passed by the Council and was on said day <br /> duly approved by the Mayor and recorded by the Clerk and thereafter <br /> a copy thereof was certified by the City Clerk and filed with the <br /> County Clerk of the County of Macon, Illinois ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, in Section l. of said ordinance the incorrect figure <br /> of Thirty-two Million Four Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Five Hundred <br /> Three Dollars ($32 ,449 ,503.00) was set out therein which said amount <br /> was the total amount appropriated by the Council and was not the <br /> amount intended to be levied by the Council which last said amount <br /> so intended to be levied was and is the amount of Three Million <br /> Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($3, 420 , 700 . 00) . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Ordinance No. 78-138 presented, passed, <br /> approved and recorded the Sth day of September, 1978 be, and the same <br /> is hereby amended at Section 1. thereof by substituting the words <br /> and figures Three Million Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Seven Hundred <br /> Dollars ($3 ,420 ,700 .00) in lieu of the words and figures Thirty-two <br /> Millior Four Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Five Hundred Three Dollars <br /> ($32 ,449 ,503. 00) therein. <br /> Section 2. That, except as the same is amended and modified <br /> by the provisions of this ordinance, all provisions of said Ordinance � <br /> No. 78-138 be, and they are hereby, ratified, confirmed and continued <br /> in full force and effect. <br /> Section 3. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Ordinance to be duly <br /> certified and said copy filed with the County Clerk of the County <br /> of Macon, Illinois and said County Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized <br /> and directed to levy for the City of Decatur, Illinois, for the fiscal <br /> year P�Iay 1, 1978 through April 30 , 1979 the sum of Three Million Four <br /> Hundred Twenty Tb.�usand Seven Hundred Dollars ($3,420 , 700. 00) . <br /> PRESENTED, I'P,SSED, APPROVED A,.uD RECO ED this llth day of <br /> September, 1978. <br /> MAYOR• <br /> ATTEST: <br /> CLE <br />
