'R-114 � AiV ORDINANCE �.vIVEXI�IG TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLIi�10IS WHEREAS , there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of John K. Collins requesting that premises described as : A part of the Northeast Quarter (NE;) of the Northwest Quarter (NW;) of Section 17 , Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P .P�. , lying South of the Old Decatur '�o Springfield Hardroad (Old Route 36) more particularly described as Beginnzng at the point of intersection of the Southerly Right of Way line of the said Highway and the West line of the said Northeast Quarter (vE4) of the Vorthwest Quarter (NW�-,) of Section 17 ; thence northeasterly along the said right of way 1ine, a distance oi 128 . 5 fe�t to a point; thence southerly parallel to the . West line of the Northeast Quarter (VE�) of the Northwest Quarter (�VW;) of Section i7, a distance of 120 .0 feet to a point; thence Southwesterly parallel to the said right of way line , a distance of 128 .5 feet to a point on the said Taest line of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW�) of Section 17, a distance of 120 . 0 feet south of the point of beginning, thence north to the point of beginning. The tract containing 15000 square feet more or less , be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois ; and, WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WF�REFS , said terri�aary is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois , and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town, or other i�unicipality; and, WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action an annexation of said territory has beezgiven as provided by statute .
