<br /> WHEREAS , �here has been filed with the City Clerk of the City
<br /> of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of Illinois Central Gulf
<br /> Railroad Company requesting that premises described as :
<br /> Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 2 , Block
<br /> 1 Elm Park Addition to the City of Decatur, located
<br /> in the NW4 Sec. 35 , T. 17N R.2E, Macon County, Illinois ;
<br /> thence East along the Easterly extension of the North
<br /> line of said Lot 2 , a distance of 100t feet to the
<br /> Easterly property line of Illinois Central Gul� Railroad
<br /> Compar.y; thence Southerly along said property line 300
<br /> feet; thence West parallel with the �vorth line of said
<br /> Lot 2 , a distance o� 100 feet; more or less, to the
<br /> Westerly line of said Railroad Company' s property; ',
<br /> thence Northerly along said Westerly property lin�
<br /> 300 feet, more or less to the point of beginning,
<br /> Situated in Macon County , Illinois ,
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, I
<br /> WHEREAS , it is shown by affidavit tr.at said petition is signed
<br /> by all of the owners of record of said premises and that there are '
<br /> no electors residing therein; and,
<br /> WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town,
<br /> or other municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action on annexation of
<br /> said territory has been given as provided by statute.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COL'NCIL OF THE CITY OF '
<br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS :
<br /> Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described
<br /> along with al? parts of public highways therein or aext and adjacent
<br /> thereto, not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby,
<br /> annexed to and are incorporated into �he iimits of the City of
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
