' .�, . • . . : � QRDINANCE� ♦NO.��.� �'a► � ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS FOR THE TORRENCE PARK URBAN RENEWAL PROTECT WHEREAS , the City of Decatur, Illinois, has heretofore by Resolution R-2525 passed March 13 , 1972 , approved and adopted an Urban Renewal Plan commonly called the "Torrence Park Urban Renewal Project"; and, WHEREAS , in connection with said Plan and the determination that the area falls within the definitions of blighted or slum areas as defined by the Urban Community Conservation Act �91 . 10, Chapter 672 of the Illinois Revised Statutes 1975, and under the authority of Chapter 24 � 11-11-1 of the Illinois Revised StatutPs of 1975 of the State of Illinois , the City has the power of condemnation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECAT UR, ILLI NOIS: Section 1 . That it is hereby determined that the real estate parcels described herein below are within the area designated as the Torrence Park Urban Renewal Project approved by this Council on March 13 , 1972 , by Resolution R-2525 . Section 2 . That it be, and it is hereby, determined to be necessary and desirable that the City of Decatur, Illinois , in order to carry out said Urban Renewal Project as approved, acquire title and possession of the following real property: Lot Three (3) in Block Five (5) in Power's First Addition to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book 22 on page 487 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois. (Commonly known as 1351 E. Condit Street, Decatur, Il.) Lot 5 in Block Five (5) of Power's First Addition to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book 22, page 487 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois. (Comm�nly known as 1331 E. Condit Street, Decatur, Il.) all situated in the City of Decatur, County of Macon, and State of Illinois . Section 3. That it be, and it is hereby, determined that the aforesaid real property is necessary for a public use and is located within the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois.
