_ -.�� <br /> :.��` -� . �ICROFlL.IVIED <br /> y ORDINANCE NO. ��- /�� <br /> ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND WAGES AND MODIFYING <br /> CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE FIRE SERVICE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That until the further order of the Council and <br /> effective as of, and retroactive to May 1, 1977 , and subject to <br /> applicable provisions of ordinance or administrative order not <br /> inconsistent herewith those positions assigned by ordinance or <br /> administrative order to pay grades in the sworn classified fire <br /> service , be , and they are hereby, authorized to have attached <br /> thereto, and employees occupying said positions on September 1, <br /> 1977, be, and they are hereby, authorized to be paid the respective <br /> salary or wage set out for each such grade in Exhibit A hereto <br /> attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2 . That until the further order of the Council, <br /> effective in time and subject to the same limitations and applica- <br /> tion as aforesaid, the amount of $6. 00 each bi-weekly pay period <br /> be, and it is hereby, authorized to be paid on behalf of each <br /> of said employees participating in the dependent coverage portion <br /> of the medical , major medical and hospital group insurance plan <br /> of the fire service, but only during such participation. <br /> Section 3. That the heretofore existing authorization for <br /> payment of overtime pay be, and the same is hereby, continued <br /> in full force and effect, except that the limitation to straight <br /> time for the first two hours of non-emergency hold-over be, and <br /> said limitation is hereby, repealed, and except further that hours <br /> of duty limitations and overtime pay authorizations shall not attach <br /> to the position of Battalion Chief, which said position be, and <br /> the same is hereby, exempted therefrom. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED thislo�day of <br /> September, 1977. <br /> YOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> � , \.L <br /> :" <br /> CITY LERK <br />
