<br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS
<br /> WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of Robert E. Doolen et al requesting
<br /> that premises described as :
<br /> The East 61. 0 feet of the North 387. 5 feet of a parcel of
<br /> land described as : Beginning at a point 128 .5 feet West
<br /> of th�e Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the
<br /> Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 16 North, Range 2
<br /> East of the 3rd P.M. , Thence West 16 Rods , Thence South
<br /> 40 Rods to the 10 Acre line, Thence East 16 Rods, thence North
<br /> 40 Rods, to the point of beginning, commonly known as 1321
<br /> Rock Springs Road, AND Part of the Northwest Quarter of the
<br /> Northeast Quarter of Section 28 , Township 16 North, Range 2
<br /> East of the Third Principal Meridian, Macon County, Illinois ,
<br /> said tract being more particularly described as follows :
<br /> Beginning at a point 189 .50 feet West of the Northeast corner
<br /> of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said
<br /> Section 28 , running thence South 235. 47 feet; thence West for
<br /> 105 .00 feet; thence North for 235. 47 feet; thence East for
<br /> 10 6 .00 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0 . 50 acres ,
<br /> more or less, located in the County of Macon, State of Illinois ,
<br /> commonly known as 1331 Rock Springs Road.
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by
<br /> all of the owners of record of said premises and that there are no
<br /> electors residing therein; and,
<br /> WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, azd is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town,
<br /> or other municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of
<br /> said territory has been given as provided by statute.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII� OF THE CITY
<br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described
<br /> along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent
<br /> thereto, not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby,
<br /> annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
