COMMUNITY DEVELOPPNT A4EMORANDUM
N0. 77-146
August 12, 1977
MEMORANDUPZ TO: Leslie T. Allen, City Manager
FROM: 1'Charles Cherches, Director of
ommunity Development
SUBJECT: Annexation of premises commonly known as
3468 North Water Street
A valid petition requesting annexation of the subject
premises has been filed with the City Clerk's Office.
Containing approximately one half acre including adjacent street
right-of-way, the subject tract is platted as a single family
lot and accordingly developed. The main reason for requesting
annexation is to obtain City water to serve the existing dwelling.
The following data is pertinent to the subject
request:
1. An existing City water main from which service
can be obtained is located to the south of the
subject tract in Emerson Drive.
2. The tract is not served by a sanitary sewer
system.
3. Existing fire hydrants in the general area are
adequate to serve this tract.
4. As repored by the Finance Dept. , a taxable
assessed valuation of $10 ,940.00 could result in
approximately $103.00 of additional annual revenue.
Also additional revenue in annual amounts of $49 .00
and $53 .00 would become available from motor
fuel and state income taxes respectively.
5. The Corporation Counsel reports the petition
as being n proper legal form and ready for hearing.
Staff recognizes this reques as a logical extension
of the corporate limits in this suburban area; we recommsdn approval
of tha petition.
fr
