And <br /> ;I' SEP 9 - �977 <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF STREET Reoorded In Book 1933P8�, 10? <br /> NORTH SUMM3T AVENUE �"-�--T/ :S(+�� <br /> Fep 10•00 C�ecorder of Deeds <br /> WHEREAS , by intergovernmental cooperation between the Highway <br /> Commissioner of the Town of Decatur Road District and the City, Twin <br /> Bridge Road, commonly known as North Summit Avenue, has been heretofore <br /> relocated and a new road and bridge constructed and the heretofore <br /> existing road has been closed off and the use thereof as a road or <br /> highway abandoned; and, <br /> WHEREAS, after a pubiic nearing on repruary i4 , i977 �i�e o�d�� <br /> right oi way of said road where the same extended in said road district <br /> and outside the corporate limits of the City was by said Highway <br /> Commissioner duly vacated; and, <br /> WHEREAS , that portion of said road or highway within the <br /> City limits has now become isolated by reason of the vacation of those <br /> portions thereof at either end of said portion within the City limits <br /> and the same is no longer accessible by or useful to the public or the <br /> a�utting owners as a road or highway and the vacation thereof has been <br /> requested by the owners of all said abutting property; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said <br /> portion of said road or highway and the public wi11 be relieved from <br /> any furthe,r burden or responsibility of opening or improving or maintaining <br /> the s�me. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1.
