�p Il�it y�� Y - ��~ ��• ��,��:��26 ,�cE 7 1U26839 n� n� � Fled For �. �.00ro �t_��:�i. � ,� � ORDINANCE N0. 77-117 OA And �" � MICROFiLM JUL 2 61�77 � R�oonded In Book19�5 Pega ? � ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEYS AND STREETS TORRENCE PARK URBAN RENEWAL ��:�f� B�'' . na..Y.��G�G Cg Recorder of Deeds WHEREAS , the Torrence Park Urban Renewal Redevelopment Plan, after favorable recommendation by the Decatur City Plan Commission, has been heretofore approved and adopted by the Council; and, WHEREAS , redevelopment of said area in the City in accordance �with said plan causes certain portions of streets and alleys therein to be no longer useful to the public as streets or alleys or public ways; and, WHEREAS , as a part of said plan it was and is contemplated � in the public interest that the land included within said alleys and streets will be put to other uses ; and, WHEREAS , said redevelopment and vacation of said streets and alleys will subserve the public interest and the public wil?_ be relieved of the further burden of maintaining said no langer useful streets or alleys . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY � OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section l. That the Council finds that the public interests will be subserved by the vacation of those certain streets or alleys in the City hereinafter described, and thatthe same are no longer useful to the public , or to the owners of lands abutting thereon, as streets or alleys or public ways . Section 2 . That said streets and alleys be, and they are hereby, subject to the .reservation hereinafter set out, vacated as streets or alleys or public ways, the same being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and made a part hereof and being described as : (a) In Peddecord & Burrows Additicn to the Town of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book U, page 423 of the records in the Recors3er' s Office of Macon County, Illinois : (1) . The alley extending north and south between the North line of East Sangamon Street and the South line of East Marietta Street in Block 4 ; (2) . North Lowber Street between said North and South street lines and the East line of said Block 4 and the West line of Block 5 ; (3) . The aliey extending north and south between said North and South street lines in Block 5 ; '
