, , , ' ' , ._ _ . • , • MICROFILN�Ep ORDINANCE N0._1/ f "� T ' ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEYS TORRENCE PARK URBAN RENEWAL WHEREAS , the Torrence Park Urban Renewal Redevzlopment Plan, after favorable recommendation by the Decatur City Plan Commission, has been heretofore approved and adopted by the Council ; , and, WHEREAS , redevelopment of said area in the City in accordance with said lan causes certain alleys therein to be no P longer useful to the public as alleys or public ways ; and, . WHEREAS , as a part of said plan it was and is contemplated in the public interest that the land included within said alleys will be put to other uses ; and, WHEREAS , said redevelopment and vacation of said alleys will subserve thA public interest and the public will be relieved of the further burden of maintaining said no longer useful alleys. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section l. That the Council finds that the public interests will be subserved by the vacation of those certain alleys in the City hereinafter described, and that the same a.re no longer useful to the public , or to owners of land abutting thereon, as alleys or public ways. Section 2. That said alleys be , and they are hereby, subject to the reservation hereinafter set out, vacated as aZleys or public ways, the same being shown on the plats thereof hereto attached and made a part hereof and being described as : (a) The alley extending east and west between the East line of North Jasper Street and the West line of 1Vorth Lowber Street, in Block 4 of Samuel Powers Subdivision as per Plat recorded in Book 22 Page 421 of the Records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois ; and, (b) The alley e�tending north and south between the North line of East Marietta Street and the North line of B1ock 2 and in said Block 2 of Pedd�cord & Burrows Addition to the Town of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book U Page 423 of the Records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois .
