� � � - :�,����,���� �acE � aM.anano� � i�► ,,�� <br /> � ' 1 1U2683� �o�► � 0e��.'/►� , `��\ <br /> � � l - m <br /> . � 1 � � � � '^ � 1 <br /> � V <br /> � i�00fd At�• • <br /> Md <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 77-116 �J��`� � ��77 <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEYS ��� �n � 1926 Pe�2,_ <br /> A Y <br /> TORRENCE P?�..K U:2BAN RENEWAL � s.,y„�,,� �•; <br /> MICROFIIM � 8.� �gR�,��� <br /> WHEREAS , the Torrence Park Urban Renewal Redevelopment <br /> Plan , after favorable recommendation by the Decatur City Plan <br /> Commission, has been heretofore approved and adopted by the Council ; , <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS , redevelopment of said area in the City in <br /> accordance with said plan causes certain alleys therein to be no <br /> ?onger useful to the public as alleys or public ways ; and, <br /> - WHEREAS , as a part of said plan it was and is contemplated <br /> in the public interest that the land included within said alleys will <br /> be put to other uses�; and, <br /> WHEREAS , said redevelopment and vacation of said alleys <br /> will subserve the public interest and the public will be relieved <br /> of the further burden of maintaining said no longer useful alleys . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : <br /> Section 1. That the Council finds that the public <br /> interests will be subserved by the vacation of those certain alleys <br /> in the City hereinafter described, and that the same are no longer <br /> useful to the public , or to owners of land abutting thereon, as <br /> alleys or public ways . <br /> Section 2 . That said alleys be , and they are hereby, <br /> subject to the reservation nereinafter set out, vacated as alleys or <br /> public ways, the same being shown on the plats thereof hereto <br /> attached and made a part hereof and being described as : <br /> (a) The alley extending east and west between the East <br /> line of North Jasper Street and the West line of Nortn Lowber <br /> Street in Block 4 of Samuel Powers Subdivision as per Plat <br /> recorded in Book 22 Page 421 of the Records in the Recorder' s <br /> Office vf Macon County, Illinois ; and, <br /> (b) The alley extending north and south between the North <br /> line of East Marietta Street and the North line of Block 2 and in <br /> said Block 2 of Peddecord & Burrows Addition to the Town of <br /> Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book U Page 423 of the Records <br /> in the Recorder' s Office of �iacon County, Illinois. <br />
