' ��— AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS , there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois , the sworn petition of SELMA W. SPALDING, JR. , AND OTHERS requesting that premises described as : Lots 9 and 10 of the New Country Club Place, as per Plat recorded in Book 683, page 308 of the Records in the . Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois , situated in the County of Macon and State of Illinois, and all parts of all public highways included therein, or next and adjacent thereto, if any, be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNC�I. OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. - Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
