, � 1 .MICROflLINED <br /> ORDINANCE N0. <br /> ORDIN�NCE DESIGNATI�TG STOP INTERSECTION - ' <br /> CANTRELL STREET AND 44th STREET <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLII�IOIS: <br /> Section 1. 'I'hat the intersection of Cantrell Street and <br /> 44th Street in the City of Decatur, Illinois, be and the same <br /> is hereby, designated and established as a four way stop <br /> intersection. <br /> Section 2. That the Denartment of Public TJorks be, and <br /> it is hereby, authorized and directed to cause stop signs <br /> to be erected at said intersection on each of said highways. <br /> Section 3. That when stop signs are erected as afore- <br /> said, giving notice thereof, vehicular traffic approaching <br /> said intersection from any direction shall stop and after <br /> having stopped, shall yield the right of way to any vehicle <br /> which has entered the intersection from another direction or <br /> which is approaching so closely on the roadway as to constitute <br /> an immediate hazard during the time when said vehicle is <br /> rioving across or within the intersection, and thereafter having <br /> so stopped and so yielded, may proceed at such time as a safe <br /> interval occurs . <br /> Section 4. That when said stop signs are erected as <br /> aforesaid, any person who shall violate any of the provisions <br /> hereof shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than One <br /> Dollar ($1.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) . <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED & RECORDED this 2nd day of <br /> May, 1977. <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> PUBLISHED this ��ay of _, 1977. <br /> CI CLERK <br />
