INANCE NO. 77-26 � ��,�. i �IICROFIL� � J AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE �� RBpOfd6f CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS � � � WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City �.� of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of ELMER W. GERK AND OTHERS requesting that premises described as : Beg;nn;ng at the Southwest corner of the Southwest 4 of the Southeast 4 of Section 9-16-3; thence North 208 2/3 feet; thence East 208 2/3 feet; thence South 208 2/3 feet; and thence West 208 2/3 feet to the place of beg�nning; and also, ' Begir�ning at a point on the South line of the Southeast �, of Section 9-16-3, 208.66 feet East of the Southwest corner of the said Southeast a; thence North 0°50'48" West 58 feet, to a point, said point being on the Southerly right of way line of FAS l�ute 54�J; thenc� South 84°39'54" East, along the said right of way line, 279.84 feet t�o a point; thenoe South 1°37'54" West, 30 feet to a point on the South line of the Northeast 4 of sai.d Section 9; thence West along the said South line, 276.93 feet to the point of begir.ning; be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois ; and, W:iEREAS , it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois , and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Towr., or other Municipality; and, WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section l. That the said territory hereinabove described along with all parts of public highways therein or neYt and adjacen� therzto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation. Section 2 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies oi this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
