G- <br /> AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A STREET AND A PORTION <br /> OF TWO ALLEYS <br /> WHEREAS, portions of Railroad Avenue have been vacated in <br /> such a manner as to leave the unvacated portion of said Avenue <br /> as described below isolated and abandoned as a street for all <br /> practical purposes so that the unvacated portion is no longer <br /> necessary or desirable for use as a public street or way, and <br /> the portions of two public alleys, as described below, which <br /> intersect with the unvacated portion of said avenue are likewise <br /> isolated and abandoned as alley ways, and <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating <br /> said portions of said Avenue and said alleys, as described below, <br /> and the public will be relieved from the further burden and <br /> responsibility for maintaining the same. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> L�ECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the portion of Railroad Avenue and the , <br /> portions of two public alleys intersecting with Railroad Avenue, <br /> said portions of street and alleys being legally described as : <br /> Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot 5 in Block <br /> 2 of E. B. Durfee ' s 2nd Addition to the City of Decatur, <br /> as per Plat recorded in Book 22, Page 499 of the <br /> Records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, <br /> Illinois, thence West to the Northeast corner of <br /> Lot 6 in Block 2 of said Addition, thence South <br /> along the East lot lines of Lots 6, 7 , 10 and 11 <br /> in Block 2 of said Addition to a point on the South <br /> right-of-way line of Railroad Avenue, which point is <br /> 26 feet South of the Southeast corner of said Lot 11, <br /> thence East along the South right-of-way line of <br /> Railroad Avenue, 468 feet to a point 26 feet South <br /> of the Southeast corner of Lot 12 in Block 2 of E. <br /> B. Durfee ' s lst Addition to the City of Decatur, as <br /> per Plat recorded in Book 22, Page 461 of the Records <br />
