' ORDINANCE N0. 7185 � � I�N� � � � . <br /> �d At�1.13Q'�'M' Md <br /> � NOV 1 61976 <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY 1S91E, 26 <br /> R�cord�d In Bcwk_.__..—Pa�-- <br /> - TORRENCE PARIi URBAN RENEWAL - �"'"""-T/ ��i�.�y��j <br /> � <br /> Block 9 of Powers First and Block F�-?-�� �gR'a°�d�°fD� <br /> � 3 of Peddecord & Burrows Additions ,.,�-..� �p, ,L,� <br /> �'e <br /> WHEREAS , the Torrence Park Urban Renewal Redevelopment Plan <br /> has heretofore been submitted to and respectfully approved by the <br /> Decatur City Plan Commission and this Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS , in connection with said Urban Renewal Redevelopment <br />' it is necessary and desirable and will subserve the public interest <br /> that certain alleys and portions of alleys in said project area be <br /> vacated; and, <br /> WHEREAS , two of such alleys as hereinafter described should now <br /> be vacated so as to admit of disposition of the lands abutting thereon <br /> for redevelopment in accordance with said Plan; and, <br /> WHEREAS , said alleys are no longer useful to the public or to <br /> the City or to the owners of abutting properties thereon as alleys. <br /> NOW, THEP.EFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS : <br /> Section 1. That the following described alleys be, and the same <br /> are hereby, vacated as public alleys effective upon the passage and <br /> recording of this Ordinance inasmuch as the same are no longer <br /> required for public use and the public interest will be subserved <br /> by such vacation; said alleys being shown on the Plat thereof hereto <br /> attached and hereby made a part hereof and being more particularly <br /> described as follows : <br /> Alley #1: That certain alley platted and existing between the South line <br /> of Block 9 of Powers First Addition to the City of Decatur, <br /> as per Plat recorded in Book 22 Page 487, and the North line <br /> of Block 3 of Peddecord & Burraws Addition to the City of <br /> Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book U Page 423, all of the <br /> Records in the Rewrder's Office of Macon County, Illinois. <br /> Al1ey #2: That certain alley platted and existing along and between the <br /> West Lot lines of Ir�ts 1 through 5 and the Ea.st Lot lines of <br /> Lots 6 through 10 in Block 3 of Peddecord & Burrows Addition <br /> to the City of Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book U Page <br /> 423 of the Rec�ords in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, <br /> Illinois. <br /> Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and <br /> under the above-described portion of said street, to the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois , and to the public and to those utilities and <br />
